The defending national champion and 2nd ranked Florida State Seminoles welcomed in unbeaten and fifth-ranked Notre Dame to Tallahassee on October 18, 2014 for a prime time showdown at Doak Campbell Stadium.FSU started slow and trailed Notre Dame 17-10 at halftime, but in the third quarter the 'Noles would gain control behind a pair of Rashad Greene and Karlos Williams touchdowns to tie things up at 24 with 15 minutes to play.In the final quarter, Williams would again find the endzone with a 1-yard score with 7 minutes remaining to put the Seminoles in front 31-27.
