These poems basically concern some God, Goddess, Hero, etc. and use a sort of ‘I am this and I am that’ as a description of said Divine Being. In truth, one runs into this sort of poem in many places throughout history. Often recited by a Priest or Priestess in order to pull the energies of a particular Divinity into themselves as a channel for their participants when doing a ritual.However, these poems may be at times a teaching device recounting information in some riddle form to their aspirants. Secrets of their order. She Speaks is not about Secrets of that sort as what I write should be fairly clear. It is wonderful to work on such a piece, for by working on it, thinking it over and creating, I feel I have somehow reached out and connected with Something far greater than myself or any words that I may write. And that, perhaps, is one of the greatest Secrets many Artists come to feel.
