It’s been a chonker of a week for Lisa and Alex, between an anniversary trip away, simultaneously, momentarily despising our partners and Lisa looking the most beautiful she’s ever looked in her life (so far cause wedding hasn’t happened yet), we have a little to bring you up to speed on! First up in beauty news this week, Rihanna has trademarked the name Fenty Hair to obviously bring hair care to her empire. It got us thinking, what other beauty brands out there (who aren’t retailers) are currently tackling ALL of the beauty realm? Don’t stop her now, she’s still got the fragrance category to cover and where do you think she’ll go next with this? Oddly, Ren Skincare found themselves in hot water this week after bringing out a new product with the name ‘British Summer Time’. Props to Ren for handling this gracefully and also, how fkn weird that anyone would trademark that in the first place?! We discuss… In a twist of fate and a drunk turn of events, we ended up trialling TWO Goop Beauty products this week - the Goop Microdermabrasion scrub and the Goop Glycolic Peel Pads. We haven’t heard a whole lot about these products other than that they’re uber expensive and as VERY big acid lovers, we have developed a lot of opinions about how efficacious these were for us! Also this week, we wanted to let you know that we can’t believe you didn’t know that you shouldn’t put foundation under your eyes. Guilty? Let makeup artist Lisa tell you why you’re wrong. Things Mentioned: Fenty Hair: https://bit.ly/38Yc9Qy Emma Lewisham Circular Beauty: http://bit.ly/30XoU9h Goop Microdermabrasion: https://bit.ly/3tEMF2w Goop Glycolic peel pad: https://bit.ly/312NmGm Biologique research P50: https://bit.ly/3tEMF2w Models Prefer Nude Eyeliner: https://bit.ly/3c1X2al Byredo Candels: http://bit.ly/3vEfjTf If you loved what you listened to this week, please please subscribe and review us on your podcast provider, and come and join our community on Instagram @allbasescovered.pod  See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
