On this episode we talk about teaching practices and the idea that social media has a place in the classroom. We discuss our views of pedagogy (the art, science, and even craft of teaching), classroom power and dynamics between educators and students, and the politics of education. Why aren’t educators turning to social media in the classroom? Can social media result in more classroom engagement, exposure to our social world, and, even, democratize the learning process? It’s ambitious. But is it totally out of the realm of the possible?
