-Encounter God's Truth- is a weekly faith-building broadcast of Whitcomb Ministries. Dr. John Whitcomb went to be with the Lord in February of this year, but his classic Bible teaching is needed now more than ever, and we still have so much of it to share with you. So, this week we bring you material that is brand new to our radio broadcast, and it opens Volume Two of our series called -Acts- Witness of the Early Church.---We are considering the question- How do we serve the Lord effectively-even during times of suffering---Dr. Whitcomb drew on the experience of the apostles in Acts 5 to teach us how we are to handle -Suffering for the Lord.- In the United States, we have not known much about persecution, but that may be changing in the days to come. We can learn much from this text, regardless of the type of suffering that any one of us might be facing today.--With host Wayne Shepherd, we express our gratitude to the Middletown Bible Church in Middletown, Connecticut, where these messages were first preached at the Independent Fundamental Bible Conference.
