Suppression Depression Depression can have various causes. One common cause that is often overlooked is suppressing your thoughts and feelings. When you suppress anything that should be flowing from your body, you will end up with illness and/or blockages. When our feelings are allowed to be expressed and displayed, they flow out and we can move on. Think of how you may feel tired but relieved when you have a good cry. When you choose, consciously or not to bottle up your thoughts and your feelings, they become trapped and fester into something worse.  Doing so continuously over time can lead to depression. Affirmation: I hold space for what I feel and think.
