Miscellaneous

‘I came……….and never went back…….I hadn’t come to stay In today’s episode, we welcome Sharon Jennings – Deputy Delivery Lead for the Practice Supervision Development Programme aka the PSDP and an Independent Training Consultant.   Sharon came to the UK over 40yrs ago, she did not come to stay but remained in London where she worked, raised her children and has felt most at home.   She undertook a psychology degree back home, as she wanted to understand people, her interests expanded to include community and policy. As you will hear, Sharon is full of positive energy for her work and has four decades of experience in Social Work and Education.   As a mother of three daughters there were challenges, and as she quite honestly does not know how she managed to balance her professional and personal life, but she did.     Sharon reflects on her work in University settings and discusses her views and approach to education and what she aims to achieve with students, whom she continues to work with.   We go on to discuss racism, allyship and the pandemic. Sharon was another great guest who shared wisdom, insight and a fantastic sense of humour.   Ref: ‘What White people can do next’ by Emma Dabiri (2021)   Do leave a review, subscribe and drop me a line at adosylv@gmail.com   Do join our facebook community @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/412169436067530 See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
