Tammye Huf is a writer originally from the United States, but who has spent the past twenty-five years living in the UK and Germany. She has worked variously as a teacher, a copywriter and a translator, while she has had numerous short stories published in literary magazines. In 2018, she was third-placed winner in the London Magazine Short Story Prize.Tammye has also written her debut novel, 'A More Perfect Union', which will be published by Myriad Editions in October 2020. It tells the story of Henry, who escapes the Famine in Ireland in the mid-19th century and sails to America. He meets Sarah, a slave woman torn from her family, and the novel is an exploration of identity, sacrifice, belonging, race and love.
