Why Not Me?

Education

Teachers and future teachers! If you didn't know, I am an elementary ed major in my final year of college. I created this episode as a reflection upon one of my courses. Thankfully, my professor allowed me to create this project for our final assignment. First, as PROMISED in my last episode, I mention my first book rec. And yes, that's the name of the podcasts' new segment, "Book Recs". I review my favorite book called "L'Art de la simplicite" by Dominique Loreau. It's a book on minimalism, so if you are looking for a good book with practical tips on how to get rid of your stuff, manage your time and energy, self-care tips, and so much more, this is a book for you! The rest of the episode, I talk about how my educational philosophy has changed to now implement more technology in my classroom. Students are using it everyday, why not get with the times folks? Lets show our students how they can use technology for more than just social media and video games. Let's be better teachers for our students and create more engaging lessons that they will be more excited to participate in. I discuss how to: faciliate and inspire student learning and creativity design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments model digital-age work and learning promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility I hope you enjoyed this episode! Don't forget to share it with your teacher friends and future teacher friends.
