AUDIO UPDATE NEWSLETTER - VOL 025 The Art of "Letting Go." (from 07-03-12) A law of physics states that two objects cannot occupy the same space. With that in mind it is logical that our greatest progress often begins by “letting go.” Letting go often means that we must release old habits and old ways of thinking that often will result in letting go of long standing relationships that no longer serve us well, or changing situations for the benefit of our well being. However, so often it is the fear of the unknown that keeps us bound. Letting go is the first step in receiving. There is an old story of a monkey who has his hand stuck in a jar. The reason he cannot pull his hand out of the jar is because he is holding a banana and the width of his fist with the banana is larger than the mouth of the jar. Yet he refuses to let go of the banana for fear of losing it. Of course in order to get to the object of his desire he must first “let go” and once the hand is removed he can pick up the jar and turn it over. So often it is our fear of letting go of what we have or where we are which prevents us from getting what we truly want. The fear of losing what we have often prevents us from taking the leap of faith that can propel us to new heights. The self made man (or woman) will tell you that success never comes in a straight line. Success is met by a series of triumphs and failures that are all part of the climb to the summit. One thing that all successful people have in common is their ability to “let go,” regroup and move forward. This is the basis for Roncar’s lecture this week. He says, “Come to know and love your fear.”  Knowledge of your fear will help to set yourself free because you can recognize how that fear is preventing you from accomplishing what you want. The fear of letting go of old beliefs and self imposed limitations can be every bit as difficult as letting go of something in the physical. In this time of change many of us are being forced to let go of many things on many levels both physical and mental. We can allow fear to limit our steps forward or we can embrace the opportunity with a leap of faith with the knowledge that there is already something better for us on the other side of the equation. In the words of a friend of mine who is a well known astrologer, “Change is inevitable. You can go kicking and screaming, or you can just enjoy the ride. One way or another, the train is leaving the station!” You will find Roncar’s explanation of this topic both simple and profound. Anyone who listens will gain some new insight about your power to transform life by taking step number one, “letting go.” Copyright (c) 2012 Roncar Speaks, All rights reserved.
