On Friday's podcast, we said that we would record a bonus episode of Oilersnation Radio as soon as the Oilers clinched a playoff berth and since that very thing happened last night in Vancouver, we're back with a mid-week bonus episode to break it all down. To kick things off, we jumped in with a look at the big Clinchmas win over Vancouver and what the Oilers did right when the pressure was on to secure their playoff berth. Led by their captain, the Oilers did what was needed to get the job done and now we'll see our boys make the playoffs for only the second time (third if you count bubble days) in the last 15 years. Needless to say, the vibes were amazing last night on Oilers Twitter and we spent a few minutes talking about how excited the Nation is about the challenge to come. From there, we looked at the ridiculous run that Connor McDavid is on as he looks to be on another planet right now, untouchable by anyone else in this league, and it was a lot of fun to talk about the heater he's on. Next up, we looked at some of the Oilers' secondary pieces and how they're starting to perform at the level we need from them as we head into the playoffs. Lastly, we wrapped up today's bonus episode with some of our favourite playoff memories from years past while also hoping to add some new ones to the bank.
