In Exodus 3, Jehovah said to Moses that He had come down to deliver the people out of the bondage of Egypt. In His deliverance He told the children of Israel that they would be taking a 3 Day Journey. This 3 day journey is of utmost significance, as it is speaking of the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Exodus 3:7"And Jehovah said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people that are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows; 8and I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.: Exodus 8:27 "We will go three days journey into the wilderness, and sacrifice to Jehovah our God, as he shall command us." It may have taken the Israelites many years to come to Canaan, which it did, but the entire time they were on a 3 day journey. That is same with us as believers. We are in a 3 day journey the entirety of our walk in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are observing a 3 Day Feast of the Lord as we observe Him, in His death, burial, and resurrection. However, nothing could be observed unless He came down. Jesus said I AM COME that they might have life. His coming is the only way we have to Life. We receive, observe and know this Life in Him.
