The Garden in Your Belly with Heather Grzych When Heather Gryzch began graduate school to study Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old system of medicine from India, her parents thought she was joining a cult - they simply had never had heard of it. In her book, The Ayurvedic Guide to Fertility: A Natural Approach to Getting Pregnant, Heather details her journey of the study of this ancient healing practice and ties it to the preparation for fertility the modern woman can take to welcome the journey of another soul into this world. In this episode, Heather dives into the basics of Ayurveda, and connects it specifically with the Four Fertility Factors (Seed, Season, Field and Water) that can help prepare the garden of the body for a healthy pregnancy. Although this journey was deeply personal for her, having her child just before she turned 40, her work brings hope and resources to those all over who dream of being a mother.
