In this sermon, Pastor Dawson Hunt explores two statements from Jesus, "I am the Door" and "I am the Good Shepherd" both stemming from one metaphor. Jesus compares us to sheep. Sheep wonder off; they are always in need of intimate care by the shepherd. At night, shepherds used to guard the entrance to the sheepfold literally with their own body, thus acting as "the door..." In that context, Jesus calls Himself "the door" and "the good shepherd." We are called to trust the sacrificial shepherd, the one who laid out His life for us.
