Parenting That Kid with Ashleigh Tolliver

Kids & Family

In this episode, I speak with Hillary Roberts. A mom of 5 under 8, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on literacy, as well as an amateur photographer. This was a great conversation on the importance of having your people around and making the reality of having struggles a normal thing. Hillary has really honed in on the processes needed to acknowledge kids that need more help, especially in a large family environment. Some of these tactics include the ever challenging teachings of compromise, especially between siblings and other family members. We also touch on the importance of self care, how to find time for yourself and making sure that the time is actually carved out and used as necessary. We explore consistency in language and physical outlets for energy as well. Lots of information packed in a great episode!   Whole Brain Childhttps://www.drdansiegel.com/books/the_whole_brain_child/ Raising an Originalhttp://julielylescarr.com/raising-an-original Hillary Roberts@clarityinthechaos on Instagram
