Many people are distraught over the events that unfolded over the past few weeks. They are saying, "Where is God? Why is He not coming through for us and proving we are on the right side of God and defeating our political rival?" They are praying for a God outside of themselves to intervene on their side. We don't need to have any anxious thought. We are not to live from the outside in and be affected by what is going on outside of us. We are given the wisdom to guard our hearts with all diligence, because out of our heart springs the creative ability of God. What we see on the outside of us is a reflection of what is going on within the hearts and minds of men. As Barb and our kids were discussing the current events this past week, she reminded them that today is a great day to be alive. Instead of letting the "apparent chaos" going on around us affect us, we can have a heart of joy and gratitude and bring peace and life to the world around us. She is exactly right!! Today is a great day to be alive and rejoice. It is a great day to remind ourselves that Christ is in us. It is the Father's great pleasure to give us the Kingdom, or His kingly rule and reign. He did not give us a lesser glory, He gave us His glory.
