Knowing God - The Quest

Religion & Spirituality

The terms by which God has chosen to reveal Himself provide additional revelation of His character, His works, and His relationship to us. The Hebrew term for God is El. However, from the beginning (Genesis 1:1) God chose to use the plural of that term 'Elohim' in reference to Himself. Beginning at Genesis 2:4, God personalized His relationship with mankind by referring to Himself as YHWH Elohim. The Name YHWH means 'self existent one'. This message covers that interpretation, intensifiers and importance of Hebrew Title and Name for God including El, Eloah, El Shaddai, El Elyon, YHWH, YHWH Tsabaoth and YWHW Elohim.
