Unable to hide his secret obsession, he introduces Dorian to his friend, Lord Henry Wotton. Lord Henry, known to be a cad and leading rather the extravagent life, delights in teasing the boy and introducing him to a path off the straight and narrow. As Dorian toys more with habits and proclivities not endorsed by Victorian society, the portrait of himself painted by Basil begins to physically alter. After approximately three murders, Dorian finally meets his downfall after several decades.
