REPLACE CRITICISMS WITH COMPLIMENTS. Finding a redeemable quality in everyone. When we look hard enough, we can always find a redeemable quality about anyone, even those who are unaware of that redeeming quality themselves.CONSIDER CREATING THOUGHTFUL HABITS. Next time we are tempted to critique or judge, compliment and encourage instead. SETTING INTENTIONS AND SETTING GOALS ALL START AS THOUGHTS. Our new and improved thoughts lead to new and improved intentions, goals, and dreams. PHYSICAL SENSATIONS. How does your physical body feel right now? Are you comfortable in your seat?  Do you have reoccurring or chronic pain in the back, shoulder, neck, or knees? How does that impact how you feel about your Self right now? How does that physical sensation impact how you show up in the world. MEMORIES AND REFLECTIONS ON THE PAST. Thinking about the moments you have already lived, what do you remember about them? What stands out in your mind? The physical place or the feeling you had while there? What can you do now to get more out of your moments?AWARENESS OF THE PRESENT. What exists within and around us right now, in this moment? What do we notice about this immediate space and time? Consider all of the senses and everything within and around us…what are we focusing on? We have so many options, but what are we focusing on?PREDICTIONS AND VISIONS OF THE FUTURE. We want a clear path to our future. If we dwell on stories from the past, we are distracted from our present. What do we wish for, dream about, and desire?OUR DREAMS ARE PERSONAL GOALS for ourselves, so let’s focus on the details of our goals. The Kapalabhati Breathing Exercise and Candle Light Meditation. Mindfulness Assignment for the week.My intention is to give you mind-shifting strategies that make you feel like your mind is a Zen escape room— a mental sanctuary— so that when things get challenging in the world, you always have a safe space to go, even if it’s just one breath at a time. JOIN the Spoken Word Yoga Community.
