Jules Bright is a woman of many talents and carries with her an abundance of knowledge and wisdom. Her years of travelling the world while nursing, exploring natural herbal medicines and creating her own skincare brand has led her to live a more natural lifestyle, while inspiring others to do the same. Entering the world of nursing while young, Jules’ career has seen her visit many corners of the world including the Australian Outback, all over Europe and throughout Asia. While in London, she spent five years as sister in charge at the royal and military hospital and although, through practice, she would use traditional medicine on her patients, she was always intrigued by the healing properties of natural medicine. It was after a traumatic motorbike accident with her partner in India that was the pivotal turning point in Jules’ life. Nursed back to health by a group of local Indian women and children, Jules recovered within days of the accident and was astounded by the healing properties the natural medicine and rituals had on her skin.“I had never seen healing like this in my life. I just wanted to shout it from the hilltops, this is something miraculous.”From that moment on, Jules knew she had to explore what else was out there. Her life was soon devoted to living with indigenous people, studying naturopathy and bush medicine and creating her natural skincare brand Earth’s Kitchen. Within our chat, Jules discusses the properties of plants she uses like Kawakawa, NZ flax, Tarata, Kanuka, Dandelion and others which she says have had incredible results towards wounds and general health.  “I’ve not found a faster medicine to work than our native bush medicine.”As if she wasn’t impressive enough, Jules also managed to fit in getting a private pilot’s licence, had two kids and has spent 18 years perfecting the world’s first BioGro certified natural sunscreen that has an SPF of 50. “I’m a scientific person, who lives in the magical world because of what I have experienced.”
