In this episode, we had a brief discussion about the UNKNOWNs of the tribes from their origin to current problems faced by them with our guest - Ms.Benny (social work student, traveller, blogger @gypsy_jinns Youtube - Gypsy Jinns). It is not only inevitable to know about the tribal people and their vulnerabilities but also we should be responsible for their safety and secularity since tribes account for almost 9% per cent of the total population in India and 1.5% of the total population of Tamil Nadu. The episode is filled with loads of information about different types of tribes who live in different parts and their lifestyle. It is horrifying to know that their livelihood is being robbed by the “CIVILISED” counterparts and has been put under pressure even for their mere survival. We take this opportunity to thank Ms Benny for taking her time to join and enlighten us with her experience and broader perspective of the tribal people.
