The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the learning experiences for students in the clinical setting. Students at Saint David’s School of Nursing at Texas State University remerged in the clinical setting in summer 2020. Students developed a heightened sensitivity about how COVID-19 was impacting patients, families, and the hospital staff.
