Two-Two and The Brain

Education

THIS is a podcast for anyone who’s interested in driving. So whether you’ve been behind the wheel for 3 months, 3 years or 30 years you’ll learn something new from two very experienced and knowledgeable industry ‘giants’ as they share their insight and wisdom. Former DVSA Supervising Examiner Bob, and ORDIT Trainer Brian M Stratton have joined forces to collaborate on this new Podcast series. Between them they have over 80 years’ experience within the driving industry. So why is it called ‘Two-Two and The Brain’?When Bob was a Supervising Examiner he would often grade would-be driving instructors a 2/2 in a test where the pass mark was a 4/4 and the maximum score was a 6/6. The Brain is so-called because when texting Brian, the name is often misspelled or auto-corrected to Brain. They’ve already bored all of their family and friends with their many tales of life as an examiner and instructor - and now it’s your turn. Currently in their anecdotage, they’ll discuss all matters motoring... and much more besides. Everything you ever wanted to know about driving but were afraid to ask...Who knows, there might even be some pearls of wisdom amongst the ramblings. So buckle up and enjoy the journey! Each episode will feature some or all of the following:   • TOPIC OF THE DAY    • FAQs   • BELLS & WHISTLES    • FIRST, WORST AND BEST CAR   • STATs FACTS & FIGURES   • WHAT GRINDS YOUR GEARS? NB: We’re not that good with all this new-fangled techy stuff so please excuse any rustlings or pauses amongst our dronings.  Reviews from listeners:“... Listened to it from start to finish... sounds natural and it flowed well... I found it very interesting... “Rob from Banstead“... We enjoyed the Podcast immensely… the sound production is of a very high quality... We particularly enjoyed the way in which you and Two-Two interacted - calm, balanced and informative interaction delivered in a way which not only shared a commonality between you both but the dialogue taught and informed in equal measure... various topics have been very well chosen and linked nicely with each other... good continuity! Can't suggest any alterations or inclusions... it needs nothing added, well perhaps, just more of a similar nature!“Mike and Karen from Radstock“... Great podcast… I really liked the variety, from helping people with hearing impairments to facts and figures... some lovely amusing bits especially Amphibious Woman! You both sound relaxed... jolly good stuff!”Hilary from Bristol “... Brilliant! We’ve listened to it all and thoroughly enjoyed it… We laughed out loud at the part where you didn’t explain about the controls and the girl tried to use your clutch... love the ‘First, Worst and Best’ car slot and ‘What Grinds Your Gears’... though size of the vehicle isn’t exclusive to women! Loved it... Michelle said that you need to stop sending these as the more she hears them the more she wants to be a driving instructor!”Janice and Michelle from the Outer Hebrides“... Seemed very listenable... was enjoyable, a bit like Saint and Greavesie back in  the day... “Andy from Skegness “... Really liked it! Just the right amount of information per topic without preaching or dragging on for too long... good mix of factual information, every day legalities and situations all delivered in a clear, concise manner... look forward to more of this in due course... “Lisa from High Wycombe
