World War II Master Sgt Roddie Edmonds Please write that name down so you member it and do some wonderful work with it. The fifth American to be named as a Righteous Gentile and the only one to have saved lives of American Jews. Edmonds never got around to telling his own story. He did not speak much about his experiences. His family only knew that he had been taken prisoner by the Germans during the Battle of the Bulge and that he had survived 100 days of captivity before returning home. hHs son, Reverend Chris Edmonds mentioned that when he would ask his father about the war, he often told him only "some things were too difficult to talk about" And later his son discovered that his quiet father had been an incredible heroic hero, and saved many many lives and the lives of many yet to come. You need to take the 12 minutes to listen to the story. You will not forget it and you'll probably start doing some research on your own.
