Christians have affirmed for centuries that God created mankind in His image. The Bible affirms the great value of human life is derived from the image of God. Therefore Christians should defend human life. Although some Christians accept the destruction of embryos for purposes of scientific research, the practice cannot be sustained by a Christian ethic.
