Retired Orlando Police Detective Jon O'Hern joins us again to discuss the shooting of two Dallas Police Officers by a shoplifter, the capture of the Golden State Killer - a former police officer, and the killing spree by a grandmother who wanted to cover her tracks by assuming the identity of another - after murdering them. This is episode is dedicated to the law enforcement officer(s) below who made the ultimate sacrifice either on the day of the show or between shows.  The episode image is of the Thin Blue Line, a symbol of of the role police officers play in a community by separating good from evil in society, and a passage from Proverbs 28:1 that is etched upon the wall of the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC. Police Officer Rogelio Santander, Jr. Dallas Police Department, TX EOW: Wednesday, April 25, 2018 Cause: Gunfire On April 24, 2018 Officer Santander, Jr. and Officer Crystal Almeida were arresting a shoplifting suspect. Body-camera footage that showed the shoplifter pulling a handgun from his pocket and shooting both officers.  Officer Santander succumbed to his injuries and died on April 25, 2018.  Officer Almeida is still being treated in the hospital. Condolences go out to the family, friends, and co-workers of Officer Rogelio and Officer Crystal Almeida remains in our thoughts and prayers.
