All the Way Up Podcast

Religion & Spirituality

This is the first episode of All the Way Up. It’s hard for African Americans to believe that mindfulness practices can enhance their well-being because we feel the battles we’re fighting are too big for simple things like meditation, affirmation, and allowing, can conquer them.  I’ve always believed in a power greater than myself.  In 2016 I read The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn and it changed me.  My view of God (or Source or the Divine or the Universe) changed.  I used to think of this power as something outside of me but through this book I learned that I am inside of the universe and the universe is inside of me. We can all use this universal source to attract things into our lives.  They can be material things but most importantly they can be feelings of joy, love, kindness, and more.  So this podcast is my attempt to show my sisters and brothers how freeing your mind, thinking on good things, knowing your inner self – your inner being – is a powerful tool that can lead you to having the most marvelous life. Each episode will feature ordinary people telling stories about extraordinary things that have happened to them.  Some may only seem like coincidence or things that would have happened anyway.  But my belief is that thinking and focusing on people, objects, and things brings those same things into your life. Each Tuesday, join me, Kim Bronson, as I share stories of ordinary Black people who have improved their lives by using simple mindfulness techniques. If you’re ready to change your life, or just curious to hear good stories, this podcast is for you.
