Pretty Please: A Beauty Guide for the Inside

Arts

We’re back, you guys. We’re here. We’re doing it. I’M SO EXCITED! I have been counting down the days to be in this space with you again. A lot has happened over the last year and a half since we spoke, and it’s time to share. I’ve done a deep dive into my own inner beauty studies, hashing out theories and recognizing patterns, and now I’m back! I don’t have all the answers, but I’ve witnessed that beauty’s magic exists in all the swirling mystery and I’m learning to be more comfortable with that.  In this first episode of Season 3, my husband sits down with me to answer my prodding questions about his own beauty theories. He’s an ennea5, meaning he’s always observing and learning, but rarely opens up to let us in on his brilliance. I’m so honored we get to have this conversation. We touch on the struggle of growing up with a sensitive heart in the shadow of toxic masculinity, being the only boy in a military house, and what that does to a young man’s identity. We talk about practices that help us feel more beautiful, like discovering his recent love of cooking, and the magic that happens when our focus shifts from ourselves onto caring for someone else. I can’t wait for you to hear this. Please rate + review the show!
