Today I want to talk to you about Junior Hockey - If I were to ask you where is the Worlds oldest Major Junior Hockey Franchise (operated from their original location and use the same name), you might think it may be in Canada. - Most people would think it is likely on the East Coast around where the orgininal 6 NHL teams are. - You would be WRONG - The WORLDS oldest Junior Hockey Team is in REGINA - Founded in 1917 called the Regina Patricias and then shortened to Regina Pats in 1923. - they were the farm team to the Montreal Canadians in the 1940's and 50's - Who knew? One more reason why WE LOVE REGINA!!
