The story of Ahab is one of treachery and violence along with a wickedness that spanned from idolatry to other moral sins. He was as wicked as they come. Yet God showed Ahab grace even though he did not deserve it - that's what makes grace so wonderful. However, some abuse God's grace by taking it for granted. They expect God to be gracious even though they do not really desire to be close to Him. They reject grace while at the same time criticizing God for judging them.
