"Who do people say the Son of Man is...?" Asked Jesus...A more important question was asked afterwards: "But who do you say I am...?" he asked Peter. Peter's response and Jesus' subsequent remarks help us understand who Peter is in relation to Jesus. Jesus is The Builder and Peter is a foundation stone, but a stone no more no less. In other words, the church belongs to Jesus and Peter is part of the building.
