In my life, I recognized in my early 20's there are three things I need every day for my overall wellbeing.  I realized when these three things were in place every day, I could manage whatever came my way with more neutrality, grace, and amusement. Things didn't seem to affect me the same way. I wouldn't get lost in the emotions as much or feel as scattered or stressed. I look at these things as my energetic bookends even today. They help me to stay upright, conscious, make decisions that are good for me. They help me to see things from a neutral perspective. Be kinder and compassionate to myself and others. These things keep me in the moment. Present to my life. I feel more joyful, enthusiastic, and fluid. For me, my pillars are movement of my body, meditation, and eating really clean healthy food. I know if I have all of these in place every day there is a calmness about me and I feel above ground vs feeling buried. What are your pillars of wellbeing? Maybe there are 2 or 5... but what do you need to do every day to feel at your best? To know that you can manage whatever comes your way? Here is a list of things I have heard from clients over the years... Painting Organizing Cleaning Going on a walk Praying Journaling Meditating Affirmations Self-care Doing your hair Wearing clothes that you love Dancing Playing music Eating well Yoga Running Movement Connection And much more... There are so many ways to care for yourself and to stay connected. Identifying your ways is empowering. When you have this self-awareness and commit to giving yourself these things every day, there is a strong sense of self-trust and security which is self resourced - diminishing stress, worry, fear, and alike. Today take a moment to think about and journal on the times you feel most alive, solid, grounded and know your overall wellbeing is cared for.  (You know what these things are. Feel into it, let your intuition show you. Maybe there is resistance to them, that is ok! Naming them is the first step.)
