Deborah is Haida Indian born on January 3rd. Her great grandfathers John Wallace and Dwight Wallace were Haida Chiefs, and famous Totem Pole carvers. Her family lived with Charles Willis Jr., President, and CEO of Alaska Airlines prior to moving to Alaska in 1976. Charles Willis Jr. recruited Dwight Eisenhower to run for President., On Jan. 3, 1959, President Dwight Eisenhower signed a proclamation admitting Alaska to the Union as the 49th state. Deborah formed the first political group Alaska Energy 1st, and purchased the first ad buy in Alaska after the Citizens United Supreme Court decision. Deborah is the founder of Alaska Energy Dudes and Divas, Thoughtful Thursdays, and Alaska Natural Resource Month. Deborah is a technical writer who has worked on large scale oil and gas projects in Alaska, and worked on the directional drilling software rewrite for Schlumberger. Alaska Energy Dudes and Divas is where Alaskans, lawmakers, and the media go to keep up with oil and gas, energy, resource development, and legislative issues utilizing social media to connect, and engage with Alaskans in a fun and interactive way.
