Amid massive outcry over Hindi being made a compulsory language in all non-Hindi speaking states, the HRD ministry has climbed down and tweaked the draft National Education Policy to say that students are free to choose any language they wish to study in.But this is not the first time Hindi vs Southern Languages issue has come up. So, I'm a big Devdutt Patnaik fan. Heck, I love anyone who has anything to do with comparative mythology like Joseph Campbell. But there are things he says about modern management and business in India which I cannot agree with. Two major points my critique delves into: 1. Management by Karma is the way reconcile business operations in India. 2. Equality and Diversity are two opposite ends of the spectrum.
