Jana Mashonee is a musician, novelist, actress, and philanthropist with a multitude of industry accolades. Exploring her unique, Native American heritage Jana earned her 2nd GRAMMY nomination for her album, "American Indian Story", earned critical reviews of her book, "The Adventures of Sha'kona", and earned critical acclaim including a NAMMY for her holiday album, "American Indian Christmas". With her Lumbee/Tuscarora cultural roots firmly planted she's also had her music featured on major television networks such as the Discovery channel and is the star of the Redbox hit movie "The Dinosaur Experiment.". Jana has performed in two presidential inaugurations and at Carnegie Hall twice. With all that Jana has achieved she still finds time to give back. Her “Jana’s Kids Foundation” has been helping Native youth achieve their dreams through its program and scholarship offerings.
