People put on a mask. For some people the mask becomes what they believe themselves to be and in th process they lose what we call their authentic self. This causes a lot of problems including depression and lack of self esteem. Full podcast here.

Do you consider that you're rational? That you accept science over religion? Maybe you think religious people are deluded? It's possible that you're not as logical and rational as you thought you were. Much of what people accept as being rational is based on assumptions. You believe what you believe because because you've been exposed to certain ideas which you now think must be true and you don't question them. Even (or especially) people who think they are gimping against the views of their parents have simply fallen into the trap of believing what their peers think. Question everything.
