In this week's episode we spoke with Luke Tewalt of Washington Latin in DC. Luke is a rising senior and has been dominant in the DC high school distance scene. This season, he completed the distance triple crown; winning the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m at the DC state championships, adding a heroic 4x800m anchor leg as the cherry on top of a phenomenal season. He was voted the Gatorade DC Player of the Year for XC in 2018/2019 as well. In this episode, Luke breaks down his breakout year, his training at Washington Latin under Coach J, what it's like training in the city and what led to his monster 4:14 1600m at the DMV Meet of Champions.
