About

Silver and Gold Podcast is devoted to the first run of Booster Gold (1986 – 1988) and the first DC Comcs run of Captain Atom (1987 – 1991). Hosted by Roy "Charlemagne" Cleary and FKAjason, each episode focuses on one issue of Booster Gold and one issue of Captain Atom. Also, Jay and his son Vance occasionally produce a special Charlton Comics Throwback episode in which they review an old Charlton Comics Captain Atom adventure from the 1960s along with another random Charlton comic. Also on this feed you will find Roy's spin-off podcast, DC v Marvel. In this show, Roy pits a randomly-selected character from the DC Universe against a randomly-selcted character from the Marvel Universe and determines who would win in a fight to the death. Each episode features a guest analyst. This feed is also the home of Jay's mini-series Wild Pod: A Wild Dog Podcast. In this show Jay reviews Max Allan Collins and Terry Beatty's 1987 mini-series Wild Dog and the character's subsequent appearances in DC Comics. Also found here is Tim and Jay's Beetlemania! Podcast, celebrating the legacy of the Blue Beetle. These are comic book review shows that are different from other comic book review shows because we have absolutely no idea what we are doing.
