Today I sat down with Financial Advisor Erin and talked money.  One of the other things I have heard people talk about during this time, a lot about, is finances. With so many people unemployed right now due the state mandated shutdown and the stock market doing crazy things, now is the time to be smart and double down if you can. Erin talks about the importance of saving for a "rainy day" or an epidemic and what we can do now, to help for later on down the road.

Yes, you read that right!  From the military to civilian world and back again he talks about the ability for their industry to adapt and stay safe regardless of the situation. He also talks about his experience working in the Bay area when the AIDS crisis hit and what he learned and was able to take in to our current Covid19 situation.

Can you imagine getting on a zoom call with 30 Kindergarteners?!?!  Nope, me neither.  We talk about the crazy changes these teachers have had to make during this crisis and how they are coping. It is very clear that all the teachers have been hit very hard and are missing their kiddos.

I have been trying to get Olivia on the podcast for weeks and it finally happened.  We have had trouble making our schedules work because Olivia is an ER nurse at a hospital here in Pierce County. King and Pierce County were hit hard in the beginning of the Coronavirus shutdown. She talks about what the first few weeks were like and what it's like now. She also talks about the idea of being safe but not necessarily scared, which I believe is a great outlook to have during this time.
