Back in 1941, Superman had his cinematic debut, but it's probably not what you would have expected, you see, Superman first appeared on the big screen in an animated short film. And it was the first of many, with a total of 17 created. The first 9 of the shorts were produced by Fleischer Studios. The same people behind Betty Boop, and Popeye. The other 8, were produced by Famous studios. It was the first of its kind, it was an action-adventure serial, which no-one in animation was doing at the time.
