Between Oceans and Gold Teeth

Arts

In which Joel and Basie discuss The dispatched and Flameproof painting by Bertolt Brecht, translated by David Constantine and Tom Kuhn. In this episode we do a fair bit of talking about the humanitarian crisis at the US/Mexico border. If you’re concerned, consider donating to relief funds. We donated to Save the Children. We also purchased Dreaming America, published by Settlement House Press. The book is a collection of translated poems from young people in detention centers. Sales of the book go to support legal funds for those detained in border camps.
