To say that my guest for this episode and I go way back is an understatement as Crystal Lee Gonzales and I were actually blockmates during our first year in UA&P. It's been great to see her successes in her career and especially with this new venture that she's launching this month called Pick.A.Roo, the premium all-in-one delivery app! When we recorded this a few weeks ago, Pick.A.Roo was still in stealth mode but it's obvious I was excited to talk to her about this considering one of her previous stops was Honestbee. Yes, the Honestbee that everyone loved (I myself was a loyal customer) but unfortunately did not work out due to certain "challenges" which we also touched on during this interview. I certainly appreciate her openness to talk about that time as it was a very difficult time for her as the Country Manager who was leading things here successfully but had to suddenly explain to stakeholders and customers here why the service was shutting down. Her grit and resilience to overcome that and emerge stronger than ever is something we can all draw on for sure. Watch out for the launch of Pick.A.Roo, I for one am looking forward to what Crystal and her team have been working on.
