Since this podcast's very beginning, there was only one real option for our 69th album: 69 Love Songs, Stephin Merritt’s three-disc 1999 opus. It's a seemingly impossible romp through dozens of musical styles that could be hilarious, heartbreaking, mocking, sincere, or all of the above in one big clump.
