In this episode host Daniel Kirk talks with Olympic Discus Thrower Matt Denny.Matt grew up in the country town of Allora Queensland. He represented his country in the discus at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro at the age of of 20. More recently he won the 2019 Universiade in Naples Italy and came 6th at the 2019 World Athletic Championships in Doha. In the hammer he won the silver at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.Matt's personal best in the discus is 65.47 metres set in Wellington, New Zealand in 2020. His personal best in the hammer is 74.88 metres set in Gold Coast in 2018.Throughout this episode Matt generously shares a lot of detail regarding his planning and training along with some great insights into the mindset of an athletes life.
