Each month we release a new full-length album right on our podcast. Today we listen to our album Parts [Improv No. 5].This album was recorded in one week around Halloween of 2017. I used a Yamaha cassette four track. I filled two tapes (adding up to 44 minutes). Everything on those tapes is on the album in the order it was recorded.Parts [Improv No. 5] comes from a very a difficult time–as they all do, I guess. What I've come to value about this process is that many of the issues I'm confronting in these songs have resolved or improved in some way since making it. That is, in part, because of writing about them in this way. Can they then be of some use to others? I hope so.
