Charlita has worked for HCA Healthcare/Parallon since 2013 and is currently a Zone Facility Information Security Officer. Prior to her current role, Charlita was an HIM Director and Facility Privacy officer at Capital Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee. She has held several other positions including, Technical Support Analyst, and HIM Coordinator, and Trauma Registrar. She is also a graduate of the Parallon Emerging Leaders Program. Charlita is a Registered Health Information Technician with a BS in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida. She has worked with AHIMA as an Item Writer for the RHIT exam and a subject matter expert. Charlita has called Florida home since 2006. During her father's more than 20 years of service in the Air Force she developed a love for travel and learning about other cultures. Born on Kadena Air Force Base in Okinawa, Japan her family was later stationed in Georgia, England, and Oklahoma. Charlita enjoys hand embroidery, outdoor activities, and spending time with friends and family.
