This is a great episode for people that want to come to Europe (specifically Germany). I learned from talking with Hannah that Working as an au pair is an option that allows people from the US to work for one year in Germany and there is a special visa for this as well. She also talks about another aspect that I imagine very few people know about - that it is possible to do a Master’s for free in Germany, so many people go there and work as an au pair for a year and then go on to get a Masters. I read however that if someone wants to come to Italy as an au pair from outside the EU they need to be a student and have to be enrolled in a course that is a minimum of 20 hours per week, so it seems to be more difficult for those who want to come here.
