Changing The Story with Lana Dingwall

Business

Mindset is a fundamental aspect of success and living a fulfilling, joyous life. But, like all good things, too much of it might do more harm than good.  Not all limiting beliefs are meant to be dispelled. They exist because we are human, and they are simply a part of us. If you are brave enough to pursue your wildest dreams, you will be faced with a bag of insecurities.  Every day I face my own bag of insecurities, so don’t worry you’re not alone in that.  We tend to want to eliminate all of our limiting beliefs, but sometimes it’s enough to simply embrace them. Wanting them to be gone can actually cause us to fall into a shame cycle when we become frustrated at ourselves for still having them. We will have moments where we feel we’ve overcome a limiting belief. We don’t experience it anymore. And then we move towards new goals and those feelings will hit us all over again, just in a different way. It’s hard enough to be feeling resistance, fear, and insecurities, but now you’re also spiraling in shame for having this limiting belief that you thought you got rid of come back.  This is a trap we get into when we want to banish our biggest limiting beliefs.  Instead, what if we embrace the idea that we will have to face them when we do something worthwhile, and our comfort comes from knowing we have the tools to move forward anyway.  Compassion is one of the best strategies you can use to grow your business.  Why? Because all the time you spend shaming yourself, you can use it towards actually growing your business. Limiting beliefs are a routine checkpoint that you will go through many times while on the journey of accomplishing your dreams. Surrender to it being a part of your journey, as opposed to resisting and judging yourself for not eliminating every single limiting belief forever. On this episode, I cover: How working on your mindset ‘while on the sidelines instead of getting into the game’ can be a trap How judging ourselves for feeling a limiting belief can can make it worse  Why we give up when we feel resistance from our mind/thoughts How to become truly unstoppable and have real confidence - even when we still have limiting beliefs    Remember that you’re doing better than you think.  Together we’ve got this.  I believe in you.   ?
