The title poem, “Good Bones,” was called the “Official Poem of 2016” by Public Radio International and has been translated into nearly a dozen languages. A 2011 recipient of a Creative Writing Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, Smith has also received the Pushcart Prize, and fellowships and awards from the Sustainable Arts Foundation, the Ohio Arts Council, and the Academy of American Poets.
