The stated goal of this show was to start a conversation about teenage suicide. That's exactly what it did, and unfortunately for its creators the conclusion of said conversation was that this show missed the mark by so much, it is likely to cause more suicides than it prevents. That’s not caulous hyperbole, by the way, most experts agree that the carelessness with which this show treats suicide risks inspiring copycat behavior.
